i'm hungry
shoot, it's ash wednesday and i had a filet-o-fish for lunch. those things are tiny, i swear. but it was very soft and warm and yummy. and it's 4pm now, and i'm hungry. i feel like i just should not have eaten at all, then i wouldn't be tempted. my stomach had gotten used to being empty so it wasn't missing food anyway. now it got a taste and wants more.
so i finally figured out what i'm gonna give up for lent. i'm gonna work on my vice of cursing. for goodness' sake, the first thing i said when he popped the ring box open was "oh shit". not the best words to come out for that very special day in my life, no?
and i'm gonna try to get back to going to church more often. not sure how realistic every day is anymore, so i'm gonna aim for twice a week at least. and adoration. i really miss those alone times with God. and i notice that i'm able to deal with stress a whole lot better when i go to church more often. so i guess i'm hungry for time with Him too.

suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change,
grow, live, and love."
~unknown
"It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues."
~ Abraham Lincoln
"live a life that others will remember years from now, NOT because it pointed to you but because of how it pointed to the One who made you."

"we could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box"
"never wound hearts that love u, never give them the endless pain, because wounded hearts are like roses that never bloom"
"there comes a time when we have to stop loving someone not because that person has stopped loving us but because we have found out that they'd be happier if we'd let go"
